The two Jacquemarts are depicted as polychrome enamelled angels ringing bells. They are in a cloud above the dial. The winged figure on the left strikes a bell, which another angel on a ladder hands to him. The winged figure on the right strikes a bell, which is held out to him by an angel emerging from a tree. There is a sleeping lady under the tree.
