A French 18 carat gold open faced quarter repeating pocket watch, circa 1740. Verge movement, repeating hours and quarter hours on bell or on case, silent striking by pressing a button.
Original white enamel dial with Roman hours and Arabic minutes, probably original hands. Prime quality case, pierced, musical instruments to the back, various animals and weapons to the sides.
Dial, cuvette and movement signed.
