Gold technically interesting and rare lépine

A technically interesting and rare lépine with jumping hour and retrograde seconds, made by F. Pernetti in Genève, Switzerland, circa 1820. The open faced plain and numbered case of this watch is crafted from 18 Carat gold and has engine turned decoration on the back lid. The silver engine turned dial has an aperture at twelve o’clock for the jumping hours, a decentral minute ring and a fan form aperture for the very rare retrograde seconds at six o’clock. The numbered movement has a lépine caliber, a cylinder escapement and four rubies.
Case and movement have matching numbers and the cuvette is signed.
