An English gold pocket watch by London & Ryder, 17 New Bond Street, London, London hallmark for 1879. Gilt 3/4 plate English lever movement, cut and compensated bimetallic balance. White enamel dial, black Roman numerals, black outer minute track, subsidiary seconds at 9 and blued steel spade hands. 18 Carat polished hinged round full hunter case. Dial and movement signed, case stamped ‘CN’ ‘EN’.
