Very heavy and extremely rare silver hunting cased pocket  watch by  Charle Tissot, circa 1853.
A sterling silver, hunting cased mounted crown with monogram of the guard, text on black background “on behalf of the guard corps officer of Wolbynie 1891-1904”.
Back side mounted enamelled stars medal ” faithful faith “, original bonded dome, signed , magnificently engraved and silvered manual winding movement, blued steel screws.
Engine turned dial, blued steel hands, absolutely new and unused with original box and original invoice. limited edition of the so called “Tsar watch”.

The “Original” was built in 1904 for an officer of the Russian royal guard as recognition for his merits in the battle of Tsar Alexander against the Turks 1877/1878.
Tissot was the official supplier of the Russian imperial court in the second half of the 19th century, and in the 1990s he launched this popular collector’s edition on the market!
