Very early Russian silver former wristwatch by Pavel Buhre, watchmaker to the Russian Tsar, circa 1910. Gilt 3/4 plate movement, high quality ankerchronometer, large bimetallic screwed balance, fine blued Breguet hairspring, fine adjusting device, lever escapement, intermediate wheel chronograph with polished levers. White enamel dial with black Arabic numerals, 1/5 seconds register, pear shaped blued hour and minute hands, massive chronograph seconds hand and 60 minute register. Chronograph with only one pusher, crown winding, time setting by pusher in the band, second crown for aesthetic reasons but without function. Case numbered.
