A Russian/Swiss heavy deck chronometer with spring detent for the Russian market, circa 1910. Silver polished tiered case with a bridge movement, frosted and gilt with screwed gold chatons. Featuring a spring detent escapement, gold screw compensation balance, and blued balance spring. The enamel dial displays radial Roman numerals, auxiliary Arabic seconds, and blued spade hands.

August Ericsson August Ericsson was a well-reputed Swedish watchmaker and retailer who started his business in St. Petersburg in 1865. He died in 1915. He used only top-of-the-line movements like Ullusse Nardin, IWC Longines and even Victor Kullberg in his pocket watches and ship’s chronometers. Delivered watches to the Csar and his family and the Russian Navy.
