Gilt quarter repeater in pair cases by Benjamin Barber

A decorative English pair cased quarter repeating verge pocket watch made for the Ottoman market, late 18th Century. Splendid English verge movement, repeating hours and quarters on the bell, round pillars. White enamel dial with Ottoman numerals and probably original hands. Fire gilt pair cases, outer case with sound openings, probably originally covered with shagreen, now with leather, pierced inner case. Dial signed, cuvette signed and numbered.
