Rare, very high quality 18 carat gold Longines chronograph, ‘Chrono-Tachymeter Cadran Brevetè S.G.D.G’, circa 1920. Longines precision lever movement, intermediate wheel chronograph with register. White enamel dial with four coloured scales, a so called ‘4-colour-multiscale dial’ with kilometer register, blued steel hands. Plain case with monogram to the back. Dial, movement and cuvette signed, case and movement with matching number.

Only a few Longines chronographs with this special dial exist. This dial is mainly known from Omega chronographs. The so called ‘Cadran Breveté S.G.D.G tachy dial’ allowed the direct reading of speeds by different coloured minute segments without computing.
