An English/Swedish 18 carat gold pair cased quarter repeating verge pocket watch with striking mechanism and Jacquemarts automaton, circa 1800. Decorated verge movement in English style, repeating the hours and quarters on a bell. White enamel chapter ring with Roman hours and Arabic five minute numerals, silver Jacquemart figures striking a bell during repeating. A plain outer case with Swedish hallmarks, presumably from 1799, maker’s mark AW, the inner case is pierced.
