Rare US Navy marine deck chronometer, circa 1943. Chronometer movement type 22 with 21 jewels and striping decoration, lever escapement, fine adjusting device, plate marked U.S. Navy-BU Ships-1943. Dial with rare coating, probably formerly self luminous, Arabic numerals, 48 hour power reserve indicator and blued steel hands. Screwed metal case, inscribed Chronometer Watch Part No. 37615 Hamilton Watch Company to the back. Comes with additional cuvette. Case numbered, dial signed, movement signed and numbered.
