An American chromed base metal keyless deck lever Chronometer with a 48-hour power reserve indication, circa 1943. Accompanied by the original mahogany fitted box.
Sold to the Bureau of Ships, U.S. Navy in 1943. Three pieces with screwed milled bezel and back. Antimagnetic inner protecting cap. Silvered dial with Arabic numerals, black Spade hands, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds and up-and-down dials. Rhodium-plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, 21 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, self-compensating Breguet balance spring, special micro metric index regulator. Signed on the dial and movement.
