A rare Swiss nickel open faced deck watch made for the German Navy. Delivered on the 7th of September 1944 to the German importer Gerl & Schipper in Cologne. Plain case, the back with an imperial eagle polished away and operation number.  IWC lever movement, fine adjusting device missing. Luminous dial with Arabic numerals, KM marking and blued steel hands. Dial signed, movement numbered.

A total of 2,500 of these watches were made between 1942 and 1944, 1,000 of them with a luminous dial. The present watch comes from a series of 400 watches, delivered on the 7th of September 1944 to the German general importer Gerl & Schipper in Cologne.
