A very rare Swiss silver and rose gold Jacquemart figure automaton with concealed erotic scene, circa 1820. Gilt verge movement, repeating the quarter hours, the front skeletonized with a view to the striking mechanism and the multi-coloured gold figure automaton, in the lower section a two-part segment which is activated by a slide in the case band and opens like a curtain, below the concealed erotic automaton. Plain case, punched FM, probably for Frères Melly. Case numbered.
