An important and unusually large German 14 carat rose gold and enamel hunting cased ankerchronometer pocket watch, circa 1910. Glazed movement, Glashütte precision lever movement, quality 1A, gold lever, gold escape wheel, fine adjusting device. White enamel dial with Roman hours and outer minute divisions, subsidiary seconds, rose gold Louis XV hands. Louis XV case by Professor Graff, elaborately engraved and enamelled on both sides, with a portrait of the goddess Minerva on the front, additionally birds, cornucopias, fruits, grapes, and tendrils with leaves. Dial signed, case and movement signed and numbered, case and movement with matching numbers.

This piece was certainly one of the most expensive Glashütte watches with a Graff case without complication and probably the largest of its kind ever made.
