An early English 18 carat rose gold open faced quarter repeating pocket chronometer, circa 1805-1825. Chronometer movement, very rare ruby duplex escapement, special chronometer balance, diamond endstone, magnificently engraved cock, repeating the hours and quarter hours. Gold dial with Roman hours and outer minute dots, blue enamelled numerals, subsidiary seconds, blued snake hands. Engine-turned case, ribbed band, case maker’s mark TW. Movement signed and numbered, case numbered, case and movement with matching numbers.
