A Swiss silver open faced verge pocket watch with automaton, circa 1795. Slim gilt full plate fusee movement, finely pierced and engraved bridge cock with steel coqueret, plain gilt three-arm balance with blue steel spiral hairspring, silver regulator dial with blue steel indicator. The face with a polychrome enamel scene depicting Adam and Eve, a decentralized white enamel dial at 6 o’clock with black Arabic hours, outer minute dots and gilt hands. Large plain case, silver pendant and bow, the button on the pendant must be pushed to open the front cover. Automaton: the snake brings the apple to Eve every minute and then pulls back.
