Two day marine chronometer by Glasshütter Uhrenbetriebe

A fine German mahogany two day marine chronometer, made in the 1960’s. Gilt\ brass full plate movement with cylindrical pillars secured by screws, 11 jewels, reversed fusee with chain and maintaining power, Earnshaw spring detent escapement with jewelled locking stone, two arm Guillaume anibal brass integral balance with cylindrical weights and two meantime adjusting nuts, free sprung alloy helical balance spring with terminal curves. Matte silvered dial with Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds and power reserve indication, original polished brass spade hands. Box with brass handles, glazed upper section with applied plaque, brass bowl and gimballed suspension.
Dial and movement signed. Accompanied by the original chronometer certificate and numbered instructions within plastic Glashütte pouch.
