A Swiss 14 carat rose gold hunting cased precision pocket watch, circa 1900. Exquisite ankerchronometer movement with patent number 4127. Perfectly preserved white enamel dial with Roman hours and Arabic five minutes, subsidiary seconds, original rose gold hands. Heavy case, monogrammed AL similar to the gold monogram on the box. Dial, case and cuvette signed, movement signed and numbered. In completely original condition and comes with the original box.

The watchmaker Marius Favre was specialized in the production of precision watches and was a well-known regulator of chronometers. His workshop was located at Rue du Stand 7 in Geneva. His watches and those regulated by him won several awards in tests at the Geneva Observatory. The company Marius Favre & Co. existed from 1897.
