An extra large and heavy Swiss 14 carat rose gold hunting cased lever pocket watch made for the Russian market, circa 1900. Ankerchronometer movement, especially large chronometer balance, wolf’s toothing. Cuvette inscribed, in French, Watchmaker of the Russian Tsar, including the Tsar’s eagle. White enamel dial with Roman hours and Arabic five minutes, subsidiary seconds and gold hands. Engine turned case. Dial, cuvette and movement signed, cuvette and movement numbered.
