Four-colour gold decorated verge watch

A very fine Swiss 18 carat four-coloured gold, turquoise and garnet-set open faced verge pocket watch, circa 1820. Full plate movement, verge escapement. Gold engine-turned dial with Roman hours and outer minute divisions, steel Breguet hands, the minute hand was probably replaced or repaired. Relief case with applied tendrils and flowers, worked in four different gold colours, set with turquoise and garnet. Accompanied by a matching turquoise-set chain, screwed clasp, two sliders, original signet and key.
