An English 18 carat gold and enamel pair cased verge pocket watch, Hallmarked London 1774. Fire-gilt verge movement, worm gear, large diamond endstone. White enamel dial (restored at the rim) with Roman hours and Arabic five minutes, original gold hour hand, replaced minute hand. Outer case completely enamelled, the front with vine tendrils, the back with a still life depicting a dove and a table with fruits, plain inner case, master’s mark MR. Movement signed and numbered.
