–
This extremely rare Glashütte gold hunting cased piece in chronometer quality is in completely original condition with original box and papers.
–
Pocket watches made by B. Junge & Söhne Glashütte in this original condition are museum collectors’ pieces and much rarer than comparable watches from A. Lange & Söhne. The original box still contains an originally packed spare glass, also numbered 1258. It is assumed that the company only produced circa 300 high-quality Glashütte precision pocket watches between 1891 and 1900. It is particularly remarkable that the company, which can be described as a ‘lateral entrant’, was able to offer a test certificate from the Deutsche Seewarte in Hamburg or the Königlichen Sternwarte in Leipzig for all watches it produced.
