Silver half hunter by Patek Philippe

A historically interesting Swiss silver half hunting cased lever pocket watch. Delivered to Patek Philippe’s sales representative in Shanghai in 1882 and sold to the German diplomat and consul of Taiwan, Dr Constantin Merz (1859-1921). Early Patek Philippe ankerchronometer movement with extra-large balance, wolf’s toothing, extremely long regulator hand, Geneva striping decoration. White enamel dial with Roman hours and outer minute divisions, subsidiary seconds, original rose gold half hunting cased watch hands. Plain silver case with gold hinges, rare version as a half hunting cased watch with black enamelled numerals. Dial signed by the Patek Philippe sales representative in Shanghai, case and movement signed and numbered, case and movement with matching numbers.
