An extremely rare, large and early English verge pendant watch with alarm, circa 1685. Very early verge movement with spring, two barrels, chain/fusee, barrel of the striking mechanism also pierced, unusual and rare vase pillars. Gold grained dial with Roman hours, alarm disc in the centre, blued steel hands. Florally engraved case, pierced, with bell. Movement signed.
