An extremely rare Swiss nickel open faced first class deck chronometer, circa 1911. Ankerchronometer of special movement quality with 21 jewels, blue sapphire endstone, Guillaume chronometer balance. White enamel dial with Arabic hours and outer minute divisions, subsidiary seconds, blued steel hands. Plain case. Dial signed, movement signed and numbered. Comes with two original certificates, tested with a top result of 900 points, grade especially good, Kew Observatory & Geneva Observatory 1911.
