Impressive gold watch with chronograph and repeater

An impressive gold full hunter cased watch with chronograph and hours and quarter repeater, made by Nestor Delevaux in la Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, circa 1900. All three lids of the numbered à goutte (waterdrop shaped), extremely heavy and solid case of this watch were crafted from 14 carat gold, the spring lid bears the maker’s mark N.D. (Nestor Delevaux) on the inside and the spring and back lid are engine turned. The enamel dial features an outer 60 minute counter, Roman hour numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock and gold hands. The movement is fitted with a high quality Swiss lever escapement, an hours and quarters repeater and a chronograph.
