Gold fully decorated ladies’ watch

An unusual English 18 carat gold hunting cased pocket watch, circa 1849. With London hallmarks for 1849, accompanied by a fitted presentation box and key. The floral and foliate engraved case with a central vacant cartouche on the front, the inner cover, inner reverse, bezels, pendant and bow decorated to match, a gold cuvette. Silver engine turned dial with Roman hour numerals, outer dot minute divisions, the gilt center with engraved flowers, outermost gold cast decoration and blued steel Fleurs de Lys hands. Gilt ¾ plate movement with turned cylinder pillars, a fusee barrel, English lever escapement, flat steel balance spring, diamond endstone and an index regulator. Movement and case signed, the case also stamped G.H.
