American centre seconds deck watch

An American centre seconds lever deck watch and case, circa 1942. Nickelled split three-quarter plate keyless movement with going barrel, gilt centre seconds transfer wheel above. Plain cock with polished steel micrometer regulator, compensation balance with overcoil hairspring. Club foot lever escapement, screwed in jewelling, escape and lever pivots with endstones. Signed white enamel dial with centre seconds, Arabic numerals and blue steel hands. Nickelled keystone open face case with screw bezel and back marked ‘H.S. 3  54845’. Mahogany deck case with an aperture for the dial lined with grey leather.
