An American 14 carat red gold hunting cased quarter repeating pocket chronograph with full calendar, circa 1900. Called Orlando. This watch is equipped with a gilt movement featuring a crown winding mechanism and a lever escapement. It includes a quarter repeater with a pressure release and strikes on two tone springs. The white enamel dial features Arabic numerals, gilded hands, and a full calendar that indicates the date, day of the week, and month, along with a moon phase and small seconds. Additionally, it features a one minute chronograph with a 300 pulse scale, a central chronograph handcrafted from blued steel, and calendar settings positioned at 2, 5, 7, and 11 o’clock. The case is crafted from 14 carat red gold with a pavonette finish, featuring a spring lid adorned with a small engraved monogram and a signed dust cover.
