An unusual American, 18 Carat yellow gold minute repeater full hunter cased keyless pocket watch, circa 1900. An engine turned case with polished borders, a reeded band and a hinged gold cuvette. White enamel dial with painted radial Arabic numerals, outer five minute divisions in Arabic, large aperture displaying phases of the moon, subsidiary sunk seconds dial and gold Louis XV hands. Rhodium plated movement, 32 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bi metallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator and repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band.

The Non-magnetic Watch Co. of America existed from 1887 to 1905. She sold a complete series of watches with movements from size 16 with seven jewels to size 18 with 24 jewels. Works from Switzerland, Louis Bornand, and later Jean Jaques Badollet & Cie and Aeby & Landry were used. American results from Elgin, Illinois and Peoria firms were also used. All movements were equipped with an antimagnetic hairspring made of a palladium alloy; Charles Auguste Paillard invented this hairspring.
