A gentleman’s extremely rare minute repeating pocket watch with two time zones and split seconds chronograph, circa 1875. 18k gold case, tiered, polished, monogrammed, pusher for chronograph via pendant, slide for second time zone device at “11”, slide for repeating mechanism, glazed movement. Enamel dial, 2 eccentric inserted hour dials with radial Roman numerals, centre seconds, blued spade hands. 4/5 plate movement, rhodium-plated, “fausses côtes” decoration, nely ground, bevelled chronograph steel parts, ratchet wheel, gold screw compensation balance, blued balance spring, counterpoised lever.
