An American 18 carat multicolour gold and gem-set hunting cased pocket watch, circa 1883. 13-Jewel ¾ plate movement jewelled with chatons, stem wind, lever set, gold cuvette.
White enamel dial with Roman chapters, subsidiary seconds and blued steel hands. The case is deeply engraved with a band of stars and scrolls enclosing a peacock with a tail set with ruby and diamond, the obverse with a vacant cartouche.
