Gold open faced split-seconds chronograph by Jules Racine

A very fine Swiss 14 carat gold open faced split-seconds chronograph keyless lever pocket watch with register, circa 1920. Rhodium-plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, 27 jewels, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring with overcoil, index regulator. Gold hinged cuvette. White enamel dial with Arabic numerals, outer minute track and fifths of a second divisions, red Arabic five-minute numerals, subsidiary seconds and original black steel poire hands. Solid, polished case, curved bezel, button at 11 for the split-seconds, button in the crown for the start/stop and return-to-zero function of the chronograph. Dial signed.
