A fine and rare Swiss 18 carat gold hunting cased minute repeating keyless lever pocket watch, circa 1900. Rhodium-plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, 31 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Gold hinged cuvette with engine-turned border, glazed gold-rimmed cover over the movement. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer minute track and Arabic five-minute numerals, subsidiary seconds and original gold Louis XV hands. Polished case, the front with an engraved foliate monogram MB beneath a coronet.
