A fine, elegant Swiss 18-carat gold and enamel open faced keyless lever Art Deco dress watch, circa 1920. Rhodium-plated movement, 18 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Brushed silver dial with green champlevé enamel cubiste numerals, green outer minute track, subsidiary seconds, and original black cubiste hands. The case back is decorated with enamel in imitation of malachite, the centre with a gold checkerboard pattern, the outer border with gold block design, bezel and bow decorated to match, winding crown set with a cabochon black onyx. Dial case and movement signed, case numbered.
