Sterling silver and gold enamelled padlock-shaped pendant watch

A fine and very unusual Swiss sterling silver, gold and enamel padlock-shaped key-wound pendant watch, circa 1880. Matte gilt bridge movement, a cylinder escapement, three-arm brass balance, flat balance spring and an index regulator. White enamel dial with black Roman hours, an outer minute track with brown Arabic five-minute numerals and partially replaced spade & whip hands. The bow is attached to the case with two large gold screws, the back is glazed showing two apertures for winding and setting, a silver inner bezel and wide outer brown enamelled bezel fixed to the frame by four gold screws.
