Gold hunting cased keyless lever watch

A fine Swiss 14 carat yellow gold quarter repeating full hunter pocket watch, circa 1880. It has a mechanical crown winding movement with lever escapement and a quarter repeating striking mechanism. The white enamel dial features Arabic numerals for the hours, an outer railway minute track, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and a Louis XV style minute hand. The hour hand is missing. The timepiece is housed in a 14 carat solid yellow gold hunting case. The case has a polished hinged protective cover stamped with a 14K gold hallmark and serial number inside. It also has an activation slide on the case band for the repeating mechanism, a fluted winding crown, and a round suspension bow.

The glass is missing, and the condition is poor. The dial shows signs of an accident, and the case has visible shock damage. There is a chip in the centre of the dial and a crack at 2 o’clock. The glass has a chip, and the case back shows a few micro scratches. The hour hand is missing.
