A very fine and slim Swiss/French 18 carat white gold and sapphire-set open faced dress watch, made in the 1920s. Rhodium-plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, 17 jewels, cut bimetallic compensation balance with five adjustments and two temperatures, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Brushed white gold dial with côtes de Genève decoration, applied polished white gold Roman numerals, outer engraved dot minute divisions, subsidiary seconds and original white gold cathedrale hands. Solid case, polished and brushed, the band and triangular bow set with faceted sapphires. Dial, case and movement signed, case and movement numbered.
