A very fine American 18 carat rose gold open faced minute repeating keyless lever pocket watch, circa 1905. Rhodium-plated movement with Geneva Striping decoration, 31 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometre regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. A hinged gold cuvette engraved John H. Eilbeck December 1905. White enamel dial with Breguet numerals, an outer minute track, sunk subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and blued steel Breguet hands. Polished case. Dial and case signed, movement signed and numbered.
