Platinum ring watch by European Watch & Clock Co Inc.

An extremely fine, possibly unique and heavy Swiss platinum ring watch, made in the 1940’s. Movement by European Watch Co Inc., rhodium plated, 16 jewels, lateral lever escapement, flat blued steel balance spring, index regulator. White enamel dial with painted Roman numerals, inner minute track and original blued steel hands. Brushed and polished case, square inclined bezel, slot in the integral shank for the edge of the rear winding wheel to facilitate winding whilst wearing, back with two screws. Dial signed Cartier France, case numbered, back of winding wheel numbered. Accompanied by a Cartier box.

This ring watch is probably unique in platinum and is extremely stylish. The numbered winding wheel projects through the shank of the ring so that it can be wound without having to remove it from the finger.
