A very fine Swiss 18 carat gold open faced keyless lever dress watch, circa 1930s. Frosted gilt-brass movement, 18 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, swan-neck regulator. A hinged gilt cuvette. A two-tone brushed gold dial with polished gold baton indexes and Arabic numerals, an outer minute track, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and gold baton hands. The solid case is engine-turned in a pin-stripe pattern with an off-set blank rectangular cartouche on the back, a laurel and berry chased band, polished bezels with reeded edges. Dial signed, case and movement signed and numbered.
