A fine, rare and large Swiss coated metal open faced split seconds chronograph keyless lever pocket watch designed for the Olympic Games, circa 1963. Gilt brass movement, 21 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, self compensating Breguet balance spring, swan neck micrometer regulator. The blackened silver dial with painted white Arabic hours, outer minute divisions, an outermost superimposed white chapter ring with markers indicating the 1/10ths of a second and Arabic numerals for the 60 seconds, sunk subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock, a 30 minute register at 12, partially whitened steel baton hands, orange and black split seconds chronograph hands. The plain case with a dust cover. Dial, case and movement signed.
