A fine and large Swiss 18 carat rose gold hunting cased minute keyless lever pocket watch, circa 1900. Retailed by S. Silverthau & Sons, New Haven, Connecticut, U.S. Rhodium-plated, 31 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Gold hinged cuvette with engine-turned border, glazed gold-rimmed cover to view the movement. White enamel dial with Arabic numerals, outer minute track and outermost red Arabic five-minute numerals, subsidiary seconds and original gilt Louis XV hands. Polished case.
