A fine and unusual Swiss silver, gold and diamond-set keyless cylinder bag-form lapel watch with dog’s head brooch, circa 1880. Matte gilt movement, bar calibre, eight jewels, cylinder escapement, three-arm gold balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator. Glazed silver-rimmed cuvette. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and original blued steel baton hands. Bag-form case with gold lattice flap, silver straps with gold bands, hinged transparent back, chased high-relief dog’s head brooch with rose-cut diamond-set eyes.
