A very fine, rare German 14 carat gold hunting cased keyless lever pocket chronometer with Guillaume balance, circa 1914. Frosted gilt 3/4 plate Glashütte movement, 16 jewels, straight-line Glashütte escapement, gold pallet fork, gold escape wheel, Guillaume balance with gold timing screws, blued steel Breguet balance spring, swan neck micrometer regulator. Gold hinged gold cuvette with engraved dedication. White enamel dial with dauphine numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds and original gold Louis XVI hands. Solid, polished case, monogram to the front, the back engraved with two armorial shields. Dial, case and movement signed. Accompanied by the original fitted box and original certificate.
