Gold and enamel chronograph with 30 minute register by Ulysse Nardin

A very fine, rare and large Swiss 18 carat gold and enamel open faced keyless lever chronograph pocket watch with progressive 30 minute register, circa 1900. Nickel plated movement, 21 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, counterpoised and calibrated straight-line lever escapement, the escape wheel and lever with gold end plates, anibal-brass Guillaume balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, steel chronograph work on the back plate, all three operations activated by a single button in the crown. Gold hinged cuvette. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer minute track and concentric fifths of a second track with Arabic 25 second numerals up to 300, subsidiary seconds and 30 minute register, original black steel spade hands. Polished and engine turned case, the back decorated with a red, blue and purple enamel monogram. Dial, case and movement signed. Accompanied by the original Ulysse Nardin fitted leather covered box and original Paul D. Nardin Certificate.
