A fine and rare Swiss 18 carat rose gold centre seconds cylinder pocket watch with triple date calendar, circa 1820. Hinged, gilt brass full plate movement with engine turned decoration, going barrel, cylinder escapement, three armed brass balance with jeweled pivots, blued steel flat balance spring, lever at 5 for start/stop. White enamel dial, eccentric meantime chapter set to the lower half with Arabic numerals, outer minute divisions, centre seconds with second divisions and Arabic 15 second numerals, subsidiary dials for the date, days of the week and months with number of days in the month, original gold Louis XV hour and minute hands, blued steel seconds hand. Polished case, concave bezel and back border.
