Rose gold minute repeating pendant watch by Gerold Jeanneret

A very fine and rare Swiss 18 carat rose gold and enamel hunting cased minute repeating keyless lever pendant watch, circa 1900. Rhodium-plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, 31 jewels, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs with two polished steel hammers activated by a slide on the band. Hinged gold cuvette, glazed gold-rimmed cuvette. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer minute track and Arabic five-minute numerals, subsidiary seconds, original black spade hands. Engraved case band, the front cover decorated with a painted on enamel scene of Venus with cupids signed E.V., a royal blue translucent enamel border with engraved gold decoration, the back cover decorated to match with a central polychrome enamel scene of two cupids. Cuvette signed.
