A delicate and attractive Swiss, silver gilt and enamel pendant watch studded with half pearls for the Chinese market, circa 1830. The back of this exquisite watch shows a polychrome enamel scene with a young girl fetching water from a well. The bezels on both sides as well as the pendant and the bow are studded with half pearls. White enamel dial, Roman numerals and blued steel hands. Glazed movement, bridge movement, keywind, going barrel, centre seconds, cylinder escapement, three arm brass balance.
